New url: www.KnitChat.com

This is a place to learn about knitting without needles. Those new to Loom knitting, rake looms, circle looms, knifty knitters and knitting boards have a place to learn as book author, Denise Layman, shares her thoughts on life and loom knitting. With the help of her husband, Brian Layman, she is building the site into one of the most unique knitting resources on the web.

BUT!!! You've come in through the back door!

KWON.RelatedHelp.com is the old way to get to reach the Knitting Without Needles site.

You may reach the new site at: http://www.KnitChat.com.

Please update your links or notify the webmaster of the page you just left.
This link is maintained as a low-res version of the knitchat.com site.
You can view the posts, but not the comments.
If you have a PDA, you can use this page in AvantGo and to see all the posts and the Knitting News previews.
If you ONLY use this site, you will be missing all of the xtra features available on the main site like Ships in the Fleet, The chat link, the blog roll etc.

Eye Spy Some Loom Knit Art!

Finished Friday: Is that a Mondrian? Who knew he knit!

Filed at 6:25 am under Knitting Without Needles by Denise

Ok, I promised a Finished Friday, however I cannot quite deliver the one expected..the shawl. The edging is still not done, and my youngest wandered off with the batteries I had all charged up for the camera..

So another object will have to substitute. You probably have noticed a lack of knitting around here lately, that is not because I haven’t been doing it, it’s because I have been working on large pieces and was sort of keeping them under wraps..

So here is my contribution to the  knit graffiti project that will be installed at the Soft Sculpture Exhibition at the National Gallery,  Australia. (I even had to borrow a picture of this one as I didn’t take one.. my camera batteries walk away alot.. did I mention that?)

Ok.. well that’s part of it.  Denise at grrl+dog totally got what I was going for, If Mondrian knit.. this is my interpretation of something he might make.

The holes? Well.. the poles that the knits will be installed on are white.. so I left some negative space for the white to shine through!

I am so excited to be a part of this project, and can’t wait to see it complete! Wishing I could see it in person.. but hey some things we just can’t swing!

So perhaps now you will all have to look forward to Shawl Saturday… or er.. Sunday.
